dear diary ,

i think its time i break free from my principle of honesty . i think i should go learn how to tell a lie or two . maybe life could be better then . i mean , why not be dishonest ? why not be a hypocrite ? everyone else is doing it , and doing fine , so why not me ? yea , i hate people like those , but they say that if you can't beat them , join them .

dishonest people rule the land . dishonest people lead luxurious lives . dishonest people earns respect from those who are blind and naive . dishonest people can godlike easily in social life . it seems that dishonest people triumph in everything .

everywhere i turn my head , i see hypocrisy , selfishness , deceit and lies .

ive always believed that being honest is the key to everything , but i was wrong .

ironically , honesty is the only one thing that will prevent people from being successful .

for example , how many of you confess to watching porn in front of the opposite sex ?

or do you all prefer to hide beneath your mask of innocence ?

if its the latter , then i congratulate you . you made the right choice to keep your habits a secret , no sarcasm intended .

by doing so , not only is your image in society protected from harm , you also dodge discrimination and avoid confrontations .

on the other hand , people who are honest will suffer the opposite consequences .

take S , for example . he admits that he watches porn , even though the amount of porn he watches is minimal compared to most others . and for being honest , what does he get ? he gets jeered at and looked down upon by society .

now take a look at those who download gigabytes of porn into their hard disks daily , but are careful enough to keep their erotic hobbies a secret from the rest of the world . to other people , they are perceived as innocent , good and righteous .

in this era , the honest ones lose out and the dishonest ones are rewarded .

now , lets take a look at hypocrisy instead .

take this guy , M , for example . to the world , he is an intelligent , smart , and knowledgeable guy . he seems to know the details of every other thing you dont . his informations are never wrong .

but wait ... look closely . do you know why was he never wrong ? because most of his informations source from a network of friends . they pass him knowledge , and he uses that piece of knowledge to boost his own image in front of others . people would then see him as a genius . and when the rare occassion arises in which the information provided was incorrect , all he had to do was to point fingers to those who had been kind enough to give him the information . he gets full credit for the rights , and his friends get full credit for the wrongs .

lovely .

now take this other girl , Z . she gives full credit to her sources of information , and therefore nobody acknowledges her as knowledgeable . people just see her as another girl who got another piece of information from another person and decided to be kind enough and share it . nobody praises her words .

ok , lets take a more commonly known case in Malaysia : bribery .

those who receive bribes gain significant steps ahead in both corporate and political ladders . they also lead a richer financial life .

those who refuse to accept bribery , on the other hand , have no choice but to be subjected to a poorer life .

lets face it , there is no more justice in this world .

nothing is fair .
