The Hiker

i see life as a mountain ,
where people always strive to climb higher ,
aiming for the peak , never giving up ,
climbing through the storm , never letting down .

i see myself as just another hiker ,
one of my goals being to lift those below me higher ,
helping them in times of need and disaster ,
and later climbing my own body up to chase them after ,
so we can hike the rest of the journey upwards together .

im trying my best to refuse all helping hands ,
regardless of any tough situations or conditions ,
not wanting to be their extra burden ,
and all i ask for in return of my favours is a simple appreciation ,
not just another look of immature discontentment .

sitting at the top could be some cheaters and some liars ,
i want to drag those undeserving bastards down under ,
push them back to the bottom ,
where they should dwell in silence ,
rot to pieces , regretting their lies and fictions ,
so they can learn to climb again without shortcuts or teleportation .
